The Pastoral Ministry Department is looking after the intensive and extensive tasks of all Pastors and Pro Pastors. Besides, posting of Pastors/ Probationary Pastors to Pastorates and other specialized ministries like Pastors incharge of Industrial & Institutional Institutions, Chaplains and Heads of the Synod Institutions viz, schools and colleges, the Synod also deputes Pastors to special Posts like Administrative Secretary,etc. of the Khasi Jaintia Presbyterian Assembly.

The Department constitutes two Sub Committees:- (i) Posting Committee and (ii) Board On Special Ministry.

The Department recommends to the Executive Committee and the Synod for the purpose of posting, installation, ordination of church ministers and other matters.
